| Description | Southend Italian Circle is pleased to welcome back Claudia Daniotti to mark the 700th Anniversary of Marco Polo's death. She will trace the merchant adventurer's travels from Venice to Cathay, present day China. He recounted his experiences in his famous 'Travels of Marco Polo', a medieval best-seller that introduced Europeans to the unchartered routes that we call the Silk Roads. The Circle is non-profit making and the entrance charge covers speaker's fee, hire of the Hall and equipment. Adult event |
